Everyone celebrates birthdays, it’s the day you were born. But honestly, birthdays don’t really excite me. I don’t find much joy in celebrating them. However, there is one thing I would love to celebrate: love. Not the usual anniversaries in marriage or relationships, which mark when you officially became a couple. No, I want to celebrate the day I truly fell in love with her, or the day she fell in love with me. The day we really connected and felt on top of the world.
That’s the day I want to celebrate. Not because it’s about me, but because it’s about us. I want to honor the moment she let me into her heart and shared her happiness with me. And also, I want to celebrate her, the one who made me feel safe and open when I let her in. It’s usually hard for me to accept people, but she had something special that made it easy. That’s something worth celebrating.
