Reality For The Juniors

High school is where dreams go to die. The best one can hope for is to get through it with as little emotional scar tissue as possible and onto a bigger world of broken dreams and shattered hopes. If you were told high school is the great adventure called “life,” well, who knows? It’s pretty random anyway. I was just joking, it’s not random. Honestly, if you’re thinking about living here, don’t bother. Life is like a competition, not just in school but also in relationships. If you’re hoping to find a partner, it won’t be easy. Teenage love isn’t genuine.

I don’t usually do this, and I’ve made mistakes in the past that I’m not proud of. People think of me as the messed up kid, but I don’t care what they think.

Here is some helpful advice, and I know you will need it. I can’t predict if things will improve or get worse after High School, but I can say that there are many opportunities after High School. High School is only a small part of your whole life, maybe around 4%. It will seem smaller as time goes by. Honestly, I don’t know yet so can’t really confirm. Right now, I’m just a regular high school student.

If you focus too much on high school, you’re not missing out. You have lots of years ahead of you. Don’t believe the idea that you shouldn’t study and have fun in high school – that’s nonsense. Read and learn, so you don’t end up at the bottom. It’s up to you. I know most people don’t know what they’re doing or why they’re here, or how they got here in the first place. Hey, it’s time to go online and do something you really enjoy. Try learning new things that you don’t know about. Maybe you’ll find out if dancing is fun or not, even if you’ve never tried it before. Just so you know, I never did it. You spend about 4 hours on your phone each day, so you could easily spend 2 hours doing something else. But you can really check out things.

But why would anyone listen to me. I’m just a messed up kid that everyone loves.
